This 32 mile waymarked route starts at the Llyn Brenig visitor centre and finishes at Corwen.

It passes through the Archaeological trail at Llyn Brenig with several bronze age cairns climbing up moorland to gain fantastic views over towards the Clwydian Range. The route then drops down to follow Afon Clywedog to your first night stay in B&B accommodation near Cyffylliog where you will have a home cooked evening meal.

Your second day mostly consists of walking through the Clocaenog Forest where you will experience beautiful, peaceful paths carpeted in an array of fungi. Keep an eye out for the resident red squirrels!  You will also be treated to fine views at Pincyn Llys.

Your day will finish with a stay in a unique log cabin or stone cottage (depending on no. of participants) where you can continue to relax in this secluded part of Denbighshire.

The third day heads off down towards the Dee Valley, the easier of the 3 days you will finish this walk at the small town of Corwen for your last night's accommodation where you will find a choice of pubs and cafes to enjoy an evening meal.

Your holiday will finish the next day with a 10 mile train ride back to Llangollen on the famous Llangollen Steam Railway. This stretches through the Valley along side the River Dee, a wonderful experience to complete your journey!

  • We start this adventure meeting at 8.30am in Llangollen where we transport you to the start of the walk at Llyn Brenig.
  • It is planned as a 3 night break with 3 days of walking finishing with the train journey back to Llangollen on the 4th morning.
  • You may wish to add an extra night for the night before or after you finish to relax and explore Llangollen.
